"B+" it is not just about being body positive but it is about being mind positive. It is not just about beauty and aesthetics is about happiness and how we see and present ourselves. It is about confidence. Whenever I find it. It is about B (aka Bárbara) being positive being more (+).

About the Event
reinkommen (“coming in”) is ada Studio's latest performance series. It gives young choreographers the opportunity to open their work process, invite the audience to come in and to get into conversation. “B+” (working tittle) is a solo piece that brings the theme #bodyimage to the performative space. It is inspired by personal stories, experiences, questions and thoughts from the performer/ choreographer. “I put myself out there as source of the performative material”. The piece shows the picture that a woman that grew up in our contemporary Western European society, has of her physical self. The way she perceives herself provokes thoughts and feelings that are both positive and negative and are influenced by individual and environmental factors. As a performer it interests me to analyse the body from a more raw and organic perspective. Inquire how the body is shaped and how it moves, acts and behaves according to certain social guidelines as well as how the mind and thoughts, which are directly connected with the body, influence its physical expression.
In “reinkommen” I would like to share what came out of my research during a 2 weeks residency at ada Studio.
